Search engine optimisation in the public sector

We got approached by Lonsdale Medical Centre through a web designer we know and work with. They weren't appearing anywhere in Google even for the search of their exact name. That was easily solved (and they now are).

Their website is really nicely constructed (we're going to have a chat with them about the titles of their pages) but not appearing in Google was a different kind of problem for them than for most of our clients.

Since they operate in the public sector, they aren't particularly concerned about picking up people searching for 'healthcare north london' or other generic searches, but it is really important to them that people who know their name can find them very easily - since many people use Google for navigational queries even when they know (or could easily find) the website.
